Critically endangered Hibiscus genevii, is a species of the Malvaceae family. Endemic to Mauritius it is also known as mandrinette. It prefers semi-wet areas. Flowers are pale pink and the plant bears flowers all year round. The young leaves have different shapes than the adult ones.
